Keene Biodiesel Generator
The city of Keene, NH, contracted PRG to update the existing power source for the landfill facility, which was previously powered by a generator using methane gas generated from the landfill. Due to diminished methane production and reliability issues in cold weather, the city chose to replace the methane generator with one utilizing B-100 biodiesel fuel. The PRG project team collaborated with the city to revise the original design and bring the project within budget. The solution was to install a 400 KW biofuel generator on top of a 12,000 gallon storage tank.
